Email Jared Scherz
Dr. Scherz earned his Masters in Education from Penn State University and is his Ph.D from Saybook Graduate School and Research Center. He has been working as a psychotherapist for over 15 years with individuals of all ages. In addition to individual and family work, he specializes in couples and group therapy.

In his clinical work, Dr. Scherz uses a combination of gestalt and family systems approaches. The focus of therapy is to empower the person or system toward recognition of barriers toward improved health. He helps clients appreciate that change is paradoxical, in that a greater understanding of what keeps a person feeling stuck is needed before planning steps to make change. His vision for ITC is to provide individuals with a wide range of integrated wholistic services helping with transformation of body, mind, & spirit. By putting together a team of outstanding professionals covering a wide range of specialties, Jared believes this wholeness center will make a difference in the lives of many people who recognize the benefit of personal growth.

Dr. Scherz is also the author of several recent books for individuals: Considering Therapy? and Intimate Relationships. He has authored books dealing with issues in schools.

Having thoroughly enjoyed more than three decades as a provider of behavioral health and spiritual treatment, Mr. Teed is recognized as an empathic, non-judgmental psychotherapist.  He holds master’s degrees in clinical social work and divinity and is a skilled motivator for people addressing a wide variety of personal issues.   Believing that his clients already have the answers within, therapy seeks to help them discover and implement effective change strategies.  Mr. Teed views therapy as a process of self-discovery with the focus on the whole person:  biologically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually.

Specializing in the treatment of compulsive, mood and thought disorders, Mr. Teed is also experienced in dealing with family of origin issues as well as interpersonal, self-esteem, anger/rage management, alternate life-style, pre-marital and marital, parenting, stress, trauma, loss, spiritual, and forensic challenges. Theoretically, Mr. Teed believes there is no single way to satisfy all of the needs of his clients, so therefore uses a unique blend of best interactive practices from several approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational, Rational Emotive, and Gestalt theory.

Mr. Teed’s unconditional positive regard for his adolescent (13-17) and adult (18-64) as well as aged (65 and over) clients motivates them from within to restore health and healing. Mr. Teed is always welcoming of new referrals.

karla morse therapist njKarla Morse
Email Karla Morse

Karla Morse earned her Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling from The College of New Jersey. Karla is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. She has been working as a Psychotherapist for over 14 years with multicultural individuals of all ages as well as couples, families, and groups. She has worked with people in crisis, on welfare and in jail. She has assisted families with foster care involvement and the adoption triad. She has provided training and support to law enforcement through Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) since 2007.

Karla focuses on an individual's definition of wholeness and health. She believes we can work as a team to find out what is best for a person and how to live life with intention, passion, comfort and fulfillment without being destructive. She uses a variety of approaches to address these goals, but is particularly passionate about Gestalt theory and technique. She believes that Gestalt assists in bringing a person's resources and motivations to consciousness. When a person realizes what is happening they can decide how it came to be that way and what they would like to change.

Karla has experience working with psychological disorders, eating disorders, abuse, addiction, and situational and traumatic problems across the lifespan. She is particularly sensitive to the problems people working in law enforcement experience, and the aftermath of the suicide of a loved one. She is nonjudgmental, patient and accepting of people and their particular circumstances. Karla hopes to provide support for people in need who are feeling alone and helpless. She believes everyone deserves a good life and the ability to learn how to create opportunities for growth and happiness.
