ITCs mission is to help create an environment
where people feel more invested in their work and as a result,
do their job with increased vigor and commitment. We provide
solutions to difficult problems, but more importantly assist
in developing a process for effecting positive change, for organizational
systems, family interactions, and individuals. Our services
for improving organizational health and fostering personal growth
are thought provoking, stimulating, and confidential.
Our orientation toward improving systems health (including
both organizations and families) and fostering personal growth
involves a combination of systems and Gestalt theory. Systems
theory uses information regarding roles, boundaries, and the
distribution of power, to help bring a healthier balance between
subsystems.
Gestalt psychology focuses on raising the awareness within the
multiple levels of a system or individual in order to bring
a higher consciousness of choices. The ultimate goal is to create
a shared picture of what will be by better understanding what
is at this moment in time.
The success of every schools organizational health is
based on the willingness of the organization to honestly consider
their present state of operations and its match to their desired
picture. This desired picture or vision is based on the collective
images of each person involved in the organization. School culture,
the product of this work, includes many factors. These factors
make up the three dimensions of organizational health:
| |
1. How the school adapts to change |
| |
2. The climate that pervades the learning
community |
| |
3. The strength of the schools
infrastructure |
Whether working with individuals or groups within a system, ITC offers a variety of methods to foster personal
growth and influence positive change. Some of these services
include on-site professional development (presentations, seminars,
workshops), e-learning, and coaching.
But beyond ITCs services is our methodology and application
of Gestalt theory. Our approach enables the individual to experience
for themselves the interruptions preventing their full energy
to surge and to discover the power of their full potential.
